Site will be down for about 30 minues

The Gizmo's Freeware site will be down for around 30 minutes from 30 minutes past Midnight, Monday Feb 20, US Central time. The freeware forum will still be operating.

Server Problems at Gizmo's Freeware

Users are currently a lot of 503 server errors when they try to load pages at www.techsupportalert.com.  Refreshing the page once or twice usually fixes the problems but I apologize for the inconvenience.  We are working on the problem right now and will have it fixed as soon as we can.  I'll post here when everything is working.

The problem is being caused by MySQL falling over and appears to be related to an update to our Drupal  CMS software we installed yesterday but reversing the patch has not fixed the problem. It looks like our databases may have been corrupted in some way.  Thankfully we have multiple backups of the database should we need to restore.

I had to recover from our offsite backup but it was only 4 hours old so there should be minimal loss of data.  The forum is not affected.  - Gizmo

Site Problems

We are currently experiencing some theme problems with the site after installing some Drupal module upgrades. The site is currently offline while I see if I can fix this.  The forum should be fine.
